KOKORO wasn't born in a boardroom. It was started by two best friends, Manu and Syed Ajju, in our early 20s. We were just four friends, including our marketing head Prasanna and our support Pravin, dreaming of building something real.

Our first major investment wasn't an office; it was a printing machine. With a bit of saved-up pocket money and savings from Syed Ajju's job, we bought it, set it up in a spare room, and started figuring it out ourselves.

We keep our standards of craftsmanship and customer service high. We’re for good times and even greater design. And we create what you want to wear because we wear it too.

THE HISTORY OF KOKORO

It's not widely known but KOKORO is a 100% independent brand. No investors, no handouts. Our first major investment wasn't an office; it was a printing machine.

With a bit of saved-up pocket money and savings from Syed Ajju's job, we bought it, set it up in a spare room, and started figuring it out ourselves. The first designs were a raw mix of what we loved: deep-cut anime references and desi memes.

2023

The spark. We started testing our new printing machine on plain t-shirts. The first designs were a raw mix of what we loved: deep-cut anime references and desi memes we shared in our group chats. We printed what *we* wanted to wear, not what a marketing team told us to.

2024

The grind. The first designs took off, mostly through word of mouth and Prasanna's marketing hustle. We reinvested everything, shipping boxes out of our bedrooms, with Pravin making sure every order was perfect. We learned on the fly and never compromised on quality.

2025

The future. We're still that same crew, but now we're a community. The focus is on new categories, new artist collabs, and staying true to the original idea. We're still just getting started. Welcome to the family.
